What does it cost NOT to move ahead?

What does it cost NOT to move ahead?

This is something salespeople usually point out to prospects during the course of a negotiation. Not all offers are created equal, not all marketing people provide the outcomes they profess, not all advertising does what it’s supposed to do, but you should contemplate if you don’t move ahead what does it cost your business in missed opportunity, in growth, in streamlining processes, saving money long term, etc.

Many times business owners simply don’t have the money for your product or service, so instead of saving for the right solution, they settle for “good enough”. This is a really bad idea.

Zig Ziglar used to say, “If you spend a little too much, you’re out just a little, but if you don’t spend enough, then you’ve lost EVERYTHING”.

These words are still so true today. It’s like the old adage of being pennywise and pound foolish. If in your business you use a lesser product or material to save a few bucks to profit more from the job but it doesn’t last as you’ve stated, you’ve lost all credibility, a potential referral and goodwill.  Like trust these kinds of things are not given a second chance.

So whether you’re on the providing end of a client relationship, or you’re on the deciding end of trying to buy something for your business, you need to weigh the costs.

Everybody knows you can’t buy the best quality for the cheapest cost. The rules of business simply don’t work that way, and if you are looking to get the best of something and only willing to spend a much lower amount than what the market bares, it will not happen.

I do not sell the least expensive website design, I do not profess to give screaming deals, I do however build amazing, creative, compelling and interesting websites that get your audience to stay and learn about your business. Websites are designed for visitor engagement, they’re designed to get your phone to ring.

As I like to explain, our websites don’t win awards for being artsy, or pretty they are designed to get the phone to ring, and if you want your phone to ring, ours is not the least expensive choice. In marketing, like most other products and services, you do get what you pay for.

If someone guarantee something to you about page one placement, don’t walk, run away. There are no guarantees, if one could buy their way to page one, all the national brands would be there, but they do not, have you ever noticed mostly local companies show up?

So with a well-built website that pushes a client’s buttons, understands their challenges and does all that in a few seconds to get the visitor to stay, we say mission accomplished. When we build websites, 80% of the time is spent on the landing page.

The reason is, with a well-designed landing page, we’re more likely to captivate the visitor and they will stay and learn about your business. If you think you’re going to get a great website that will be found in a Google Search, for a song you’re not.

And if you are a web designer giving your websites away, STOP. Your time is valuable, what you do is valuable and when building a great website that performs, you are entitled to charge a fair price. The same is true with whatever you’re selling as well, don’t sell yourself short.

Let’s build your business! I work with business owners looking to grow their business online by getting the website current and create more in bound phone calls, from better qualified prospects to grow the business.
