What does consistency mean?

Hi friend,
I’ve been having some very interesting conversations on the Savvy Social Podcast lately and it’s illuminated what consistency means for real-life business owners.
Because as much as I want you to stick with a posting cadence…
… for example, posting on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays…
… for many business owners and founders, this isn’t a practical strategy to implement every single week of the year.
It’s so common to skip weeks or have slow periods that I’ve been thinking about incorporating some type of strategy around this into my programs.
Right now, the focus of my work revolves around finding your own cadence and committing to that content creation and growth management frequency.
What it doesn’t account for is?life.
What happens when your business shifts? Or when you get sick? Or when you just don’t feel like showing up on social media?
Or what happens when you feel inspired? When something happens in the news that you want to speak to? When you find a funny meme or trend that you want to contribute to?
I’ve been naturally adjusting to these shifts with my clients without really outlining “how” I’m deciding to move things around.
I even follow these shifts myself and set up my team and my content batching process to accommodate for life.
And yet, I haven’t really spoken about how to do this or how to figure this out for yourself, the founder who’s doing it all AND running your own social media.
Would you be interested in a training around this topic? Hit reply and let me know.

NEW PODCAST EPISODE
From a 90-day content creation strategy to no plan at all. Either can work when you show up fully human on TikTok.
My favorite social platform is getting the love it deserves from my guest, Michelle Edgemont, owner and creative director of Michelle Edgemont Design . An early Instagram adopter, in 2020, Michelle made the strategic move to follow her target audience to TikTok, where she rekindled her love for promoting her business online in a way that is less stuffy than Instagram and Facebook.
Listen in as Michelle details her no-plan strategy that consistently nets her hundreds of thousands of views on her videos. Videos that only take her a few minutes to record, edit, and post.
For those who don’t want the pressure-filled social media experience and just want to show up in a way that works best for you and your business, this is the episode for you.

1 年Hey, Andrea.?I have struggled with consistency in posting to social media for the very reasons you mention here.?Some weeks/months I am much busier than others.?I’ve tried third-party scheduling tools, but somehow, creating content still manages to fall by the wayside as other tasks take precedence, i.e., serving clients.?Another reason I’m skeptical about multiple weekly posts is my topic – estate planning.?In the past, my email subscribers have stated they don’t really want to hear from me weekly. Yes, I would love training that would provide insight on how to develop the best consistency for my business.?How should I define “success?” What KPIs would indicate “success?”?I could guess at the answers to these questions, but I’d rather have some guidance from an expert – you.?Thanks for acknowledging that other solopreneurs are struggling with this issue as well.
