Our young daughter recently taught me an important lesson about what it means to be both a great leader and an effective follower this weekend.
As some of you may know, we recently made a bold move and sold our house without a specific destination in mind. The leadership point here is when a team undergoes a change it requires all members to go all in to ensure a successful transition to the new place. This does not discount all the feelings and frustrations that come with change. The uncertainty can be maddening as can all the extra energy required towards preparing the path along the way. As you can tell by the image in this post our daughter is all in!
When introducing change, we leaders owe it to our teams to continue to show the way with boldness and positivity as we light the way through uncertainty. We provide encouragement along the way even though we accept that there is never certainty of outcome. Instead we inspire our people through providing clear vision, unwavering commitment to them, and hard work knowing the outcome is sure to produce growth in all team members and the possibility for greatness!
