What Do Your Marketing Materials Say About You?
So far this month my most popular service has been my Marketing Material Review. Speakers (and those wanting to get in front of audiences next year) are gearing up for a successful 2018.
At last check, I read that 53% of meeting planners find their speakers through Google searches. If that is the case and a meeting planner goes to your website, what will they find? Will they find a well rounded bio written in the 3rd person? Will they find some fabulous unique topics with descriptions of what the audience will take away? Will they find a speaker reel so they can experience you in action?
And... where are you in the Google rankings? Would someone even find you if they were looking for a speaker with your expertise?
These are all things I work on with clients who invest in that service.
Honestly, your marketing materials can determine your current future in the speaking industry. I have had meeting planners say things to me like, "well I am afraid that speaker will be too salesy for our audience since her website comes off that way" and "we do not book any speaker we haven't at least seen a video of first".
What does your website say about you? Does it include everything a meeting planner would want to see in order to consider you for a speaking engagement?
Take a look at it from an outsider's point of view.
And I am available to help you too!
