What do you do when you need to sit down and get sh*t done?

I’ve been getting really into the correlations between sleep optimisation, mindfulness and productivity lately to help me work more efficiently and be more clear.
For me having a routine that gets me in the mindset for work is really important. Part of that routine is having a coffee, sitting down at tidy a workspace and having some relaxing ambient music playing
In high school we always got told, half jokingly, to listen to classical music while we studied but I never really took it seriously.
A few months ago I decided to revisit the idea of looking into how music and ambient sound affected the brain for productivity.
That’s when I came across this app called brain.fm
I had been listening to things like “lofi-hiphop playlists” or “binaural beats” when I really had to focus. They both work great for me but brain.fm is something different.
The app is a collection of scientifically curated musical sounds for sleep, relaxation and focus.
They actually have a team of scientists that work with collaborators at academic institutions to run experiments that measure brain activity and behavioural changes to curate perfect sounds.
I don't know how it works exactly but all I do know is that it gets me in the zone!
I’d love to know what quirky things you do that helps you focus so let me know in the comments below.
