What do you do when everything stops working? And how to fix it!

Today, I thought I would write on a different theme – we are in times of massive disruption with enormous geo-political risks - with two idiotic presidents who believe the Amazon Rain Forests count for nothing whose “brain cells are only what they have got between their legs”, America, UK and other Sovereign debt going off the Richter scale and our dearly beloved leaders irrespective of which side of the argument you are on, not being able to agree on anything.

Well actually there is another big story and that is we going through platonic shifts in terms of technological disruption with the advent of AI, the so called "gig" economy changes to relating to sales and marketing and eCommerce and with companies like Uber, Amazon etc and many others change thing market overnight changing the market overnight. 

These present massive challenges but if you stay ahead of the curve there are massive opportunities, but you must take action!

There is a saying that I frequently use and that is if “nothing changes everything stays the same” – however I think we both know that is only part of the story, because if “nothing changes” we are actually going backwards, the difference now is that with market disruption, failure can happen much more quickly and of course that can have dramatic consequences.

There is some good news however and that is to look at your business and decide what is working and keep those parts and consider doing a “pivot” building on those solid foundations into something new. I speak this with 25 plus years of personal and commercial experience I speak this with 25 plus years of personal and commercial experience and believe me (as my wife will tell you) I don't always get everything right!  

It is also really important at times of massive change to have really good support around you and that is why we care passionately about our members giving everyone an opportunity to be stakeholders in our success.
