What Do You Want From Life?

What Do You Want From Life?

I’m rarely on LinkedIn these days.?

Mostly, because the majority of posts I see is “Congratulations to XYZ for starting a new position at XYZ”, or “XYZ changed the Linkedin Title to <Insert Any New Great Sounding Title>” or “Steve Jobs once said….” - quotes.

We live in a world of infinite noise...and discontent.

A lot of things don't really matter or add value to your life.

The only thing that matters is how you want to live your life to the fullest while creating expansion for others.

I miss people sharing their authentic stories or ambitions besides what they do on a day-to-day basis. Or maybe LinkedIn is just not the place for this. Well, why not?

3 years ago, I started walking into a completely different direction because I couldn’t see myself taking a crowded subway every morning for the rest of my life.?

Maybe to the disappointment of my asian parents who wished I would have ended up in a high paying job, make babies and sign up for a hefty mortgage for the next 30 years before I turn 30...which ultimately would have kept me in the rat race...

I'm just kidding, my parents are awesome and I love them. But my values and views on life have changed dramatically over the last years.

My gut feeling was always telling me there is more to life than this, and so I took the leap of faith, sold everything I had and started traveling.

I’m sure that at this point in time, you may have seen one or two photos of people working remotely from the beach calling themselves Digital Nomads.

Ignore them, the WIFI is terrible on the beach.

Been there, done that. Not proud of it but it was an experience.

But what you probably haven’t seen are those taking advantage of geo-arbitrage to bootstrap their business to multiple 6-figure levels in order to work less and live more and go wherever, whenever.?

For instance this lady who went from party girl to a lean 7-figure business.

Most of the time, we set the bar too low for ourselves and never dare to imagine that the sky is the limit.

Overcoming F E A R - False Evidence Appearing Real

When I set out on my journey, I had a lot of fear around what will happen to my career.

What if I can't get projects to fill up my portfolio?

Will I ever be able to find a job again if I had a huge gap in my resume?

How can I survive without a stable income??

....

After 3 years now, I can tell you with 1000% certainty, that everything will always turn out to be fine. Heck, finding a job was never easier.

The hardest step is just the first one: taking the leap of faith.

My life turned out to be better than I could have imagined.?

I saw places I couldn't imagine...

I ate dishes I never tasted before.?

My productivity went tenfold because I’m not caught up in office drama or useless meetings without agendas.?This gives me the freedom I need to be creative and tasks get done more efficiently for clients. Everyone benefits.

I have much more time for myself and couldn’t remember the last time I had to set an alarm clock.?This allows me to go to places like the gym when no one is there...

And when C hit, I was already working remote and it didn’t impact me as much and my online business gained traction because people spend more time online.?

I’m not writing this to show off how great my life is.

Believe me, there are many, many, many other challenges that come with the location independent lifestyle, that you don’t see in Instagram posts.

But every challenge is an opportunity for growth and traveling is the best personal growth instrument I know of.

So, what is the point of this short blurb?

As we are entering 2022 and leaving behind another wonderful year of systematic oppression of individual freedom, I want to ask you:?

Are you truly aligned with what you are doing right now?

Are you letting outside circumstances define your life??

Are you letting fear stop you from doing the thing you meant to do?

What does your heart truly want to get out of life and what story do you see yourself telling your grandchildren in 40 years from now?

Where can you be in a year from now if you let go of all the limiting stories your mind is making up in order to keep you in the comfort-zone?

These questions are so essential but we never take time to think about it.

That is why I challenge you to tackle your new years resolution differently this time.

No more excuses, no more victim mode. 100% possible 100% of the time.

Make 2022 count. Happy new year!

Ninh

I hope to inspire one or the other to take the leap of faith, because the best version of yourself is ALWAYS on the other side of fear.?

Hey dude, so glad to hear from you, especially as one of your audience. And I couldn't agree more with your perspectives. I'm actually testing the waters myself, you know, with one leg in deep and the other on "solid" grounds. ;-) You still in touch with other frogs at the Munich pond?
