Let's take a look at this home built by a Structural Engineer for his family in 2007. He first choose an area with lots of land for his children to play and enjoy safely within a gated community. Shawn and Vickie choose a community with only 11 other homesites choosing the end of the cul de sac lot at approximately 1.84 acres. He then engineered a very safe, hurricane proof, flood elevated, secure home. When Shawn built this house for Victoria to make it a home so they may raise their children, they thought about everything they wanted, desired, needed and could not live without for the next 14 years. Keep reading to see how a structural engineer builds a home for his family. This home features almost two acres providing plenty of room for children to play, a three plus car garage to store the children's toys, Victoria's vehicle, gardening tools and more. When Shawn considered what the family would need he decided on a five bedroom, three and half bath home. He designed four of the bedrooms upstairs with a large family / playroom for the children to enjoy. Adding a wet bar on the second floor minimized running up and down the stairs for water and those late night healthy snacks. On the main floor he designed a split floorplan creating space for the family to spend time together as well as the space to separate when entertaining adult guest in the formal space and children in either family room. The gourmet kitchen was designed with family in mind placing a long bar top so the children could gather while Victoria prepared the meals. With a dining area just off the kitchen, made it convenient to feed the family daily while they saved the formal dining and living rooms for special occasions. Just off the kitchen in the family room is where the family spent most of the time together as well as spilling over to the outdoors on a beautiful SW Florida, Cape Coral day. The family room is designed with views to the lanai and private pond, relaxing to watch the birds. Upon opening the family rooms large hurricane sliding doors you will more than double the entertaining space within the 2 story screen enclosed lanai with the outdoor kitchen and bar, heated pool and spa and two waterfalls with mature landscaping. Continuing outdoors it offers quiet tranquility, with a sense of peacefulness and privacy with its surrounding land along with spacious areas for entertaining family, friends, business associates, corporate retreats, vacations and more.?

Heading back indoors let's continue on the first floor upon entering through the solid wood French door entrance your greeted in the foyer with upgraded lighting reflecting on your beautiful displays within the built-in wall niche. To your left of the entrance is your formal dining room also with beautiful upgraded lighting and built-in wall niche. Towards the right is your formal living room with sliding door to the covered lanai that when open doubles your entertaining space from indoors to out inviting you to sit at the gas fireplace. The design to the 2nd floor is well hidden stairs separating the formal areas from the family areas and where you will find a half bath, extra storage under the stairs and door to the pool lanai area.?

The master bath offers a split floor plan for his and her space and privacy along with two walk in closets, one with a wall safe, and two wash areas separated by the center piece soaking tub. The wall provides privacy to both sides for the walk in shower and private commode.
