While going through an article today I came across a few spelling & grammar mistakes; Even though the content was helpful but the thought with which I left the blog wasn’t very positive.
Not only does it affects the credibility of the brand but also looks unprofessional & careless on the part of the author.
As more and more content is available online it might feel that value of great writing is diluting but that’s not true - quality writing never goes unappreciated.
One needs to be very careful, especially content marketers, as these little mistakes can make the difference between closing the sale, or leaving empty-handed.
I believe no one is immune to spelling and grammatical errors, including me. However, one may take careful measures to avoid it, and choose to:
- Proofread the content before posting
- Take a break and revisit the post
- Get a professional to read over your work before it’s published
Finally, not to forget in this fast-moving digital world, one can always make full use of the free tools available online. My personal favorite is Grammarly which can help safeguard against silly writing mistakes.
Do you know the most commonly used words are actually the ones that people misspell the most, Surprised!
Why do you think this is the case?
