What do you THINK about...

What do you think about?
I truly want to know your answer, but before you answer I hope you stop and THINK!
I've thought a lot about getting a tattoo...
I don’t have any tattoos. If I did get ink it would simply read “think”. I would get it on my inner-left wrist, that way I could hide it with a watch. Don’t get me wrong, I think visible tattoos usually look cool, but I prefer not having words or art permanently on my body. Not being able to change the art or meaning of my tattoo is why I’ve never gotten one. My reasoning...or THINKING, behind getting the word “think” on my wrist is to remind me to always stop and think.
I have been thinking a lot lately about what’s been going on in the world. I see the lack of thinking things through as the biggest problem.
People read a headline, post it on their facebook page before thinking “Is this true?”
Media posts headlines such as data or numbers without thinking "Should I thoroughly fact check this?"
Politicians and leaders change policy without thinking “Is this the best solution for the people?”
Protecting the interests and rights of the people is supposed to be the ultimate purpose of our government, yet I have seen people thinking that a virus is more important than their rights. Thinking that their governors, mayors and law enforcement are capable of stopping mother nature. Fear of the unknown should never justify sacrificing our freedom.
Our right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness must be the goal of our government.
Here are a few suggestions:
Provide information to the public based on accurate data.
Provide services and materials to help protect (in this case disinfect) people and businesses.
Not violate constitutional rights and liberties, let people control their own lives and risks.
I hope you can think of a few more, and tell your local, state and even federal leaders to do the same.
