What do you see?

What do you see?

What do you see this picture?

Last week, I went camping in West Wales, we go every year with about 25 friends.

So, back to the photo.

You see a calm blue sky and glistening sea, right?

Well, that was just ONE day out of 7…if I really shared all the pictures the first one would have been me trying to put up a tent in 50 mile an hour wind AND torrential rain. Grim.

Then the middle pics would have been nice, a few beers, blue skies, good friends and good company.

Then the last pic would have been the same as the first, trying to take the tent down in the lovely British weather…again grim.

What would you prefer to see - the lovely pics of everything looking fantastic or the reality?

Have you ever looked at those glistening pics on social media and started comparing to you, your life?

I have, I sometimes still do.

Then I remember that what you see is what you believe to be true. If people are only posting all the good stuff ALL the time, they aren’t being authentic.

My tip is to focus on YOU. Are you being authentic to you and your world? If not, ask yourself these:

  • What is it about others that you want?
  • How will you achieve it?

Let me know,

Hels

P.s The tent pole broke and ended up in the bin.
