It's been two years since I started creating content on the internet. I have been experimenting with different platforms, mainly with videos and blogs.
Throughout this time, I looked at and consumed other creators' content. But I made a mistake at the beginning!
I considered the other creators my competition: especially those in my niche. When I came across a good piece of content, I was worried. How did I miss this?
None of these worries or tensions did any good to improve my content: until I learned this??.
No content creator on the internet is creating 100% original content. Even the best content creators are inspired by another creator somewhere on the web.
What makes them different is that they add their perspective and personality to that idea and make it original.
This simple realization changed everything!

I started looking for good content and great creators on the internet. I started hosting a show on Instagram to share the ideas of other creators.?
I got inspired by their content. Now, when I see a good piece of content on the internet, I consume the idea: think about how I can improve that idea and recreate a better version of it, adding more value.
Meantime, I send the creator a message asking whether they would like to create a video for my show. It's a win-win. My audience gets exposed to theirs and vice versa; I get content; they establish authority.
Most importantly, I get to know another passionate creator and they get to know me: widening my network.
A simple shift in perspective has made my life as a creator so much easier.?
I started seeing good content as inspiration, instead of seeing them as competition. That made all the difference.
