What Do You Hold Dear?

Lets Talk Integrity

I am not sure if it's normal to start a post like this with a question but, its what came to me and we are rolling with it. I find social media to be an interesting animal. I think animal is also an interesting word as I think people live in these boxes we call our devices and just act out. About four years ago when I started this journey into Entrepreneurship, I wrote an article on how much women in the direct selling arena can actually make and oh boy did some of you take your claws out and attack me and accuse me of not being truthful. I have a talk radio background, I use google a lot. I do not just throw facts out nilly willy ( Is that an actual word?) Last night after my families show repeated a gal on Twitter went off on me again about this article from four years ago. I was like, what in the world? This is what got me thinking about integrity and social media.

I am going to tell you a little about me in hopes you understand why nasty comments sting. I grew up with nothing, we lived in a two bedroom apartment most of our lives. I wasn't smart, pretty or popular. As a matter of fact, I was bullied because I wasn't pretty but I was nice and the mean girls had boyfriends who were kind to me because, I was good to all people. Even back as a child, I was good to ALL people - (just wanted to repeat that) and we must not forget that I was in put in and raised in a cult as a child - I am pretty sensitive that people never feel bamboozled

More on me as an adult, I do work with the homeless and all year long, not just Christmas and Easter, we travel the US doing disaster relief work and we are the types that will scour the car for cash to make sure the bell ringers get something in that bucket when we are cashless in the wallet. I have been known to Emcee events for free and at my expense to help a charity out and Im in the car at the drop of a hat when needed. I decided to do a direct sales company so that I can do all of the above and have time freedom. Why do I bring this up? Because, integrity is everything to me.

Lets talk about integrity in a business sense. Its extremely important to me that people who do any sort of business with me have trust, faith and know that I have their best interest at heart. If I publish something know, that I did the research. If I tell you something know, that I made sure that I have all of the facts available to me. If I set up an appointment, I will be there. I keep my promises.

I see so many people posting about living life in abundance and showing their cars and lifestyles and thats GREAT but, lets be real for a second. Not everyone has the physical make up to push like that. People get comfortable in that bi-weekly check. We all have to bills to pay, we all need to eat and take care of our lives but you have to approach life with a servants heart. How can I help others, how can I best serve this person. Some of you connect with me and try to sell me in the first message. How do you know what you sharing is something I need? I do not have a staff - so a payroll company does nothing for me. So to answer the question I started with: What do I hold dear? For me, its people seeing the authentic me. I want people to experience me and feel loved, listened to and that their needs were met. I want people to know that I am here to help make their life just a bit better. Thats it - its that simple. No fraud with this chick
