What Do You Deliver?
I had the pleasure of sitting down with Jonathan Maze at Restaurant Business for his podcast about Punch Bowl Social, and talked about the experiences we deliver to get people to keep coming back, and the various challenges and opportunities we encounter as we continue to grow.
As I shared with Jonathan, ten years ago we recognized a significant void in the experiential restaurant industry, specifically when it came to great culinary offerings. And that's why we’ve always led with our food and beverage program - it's what's going to sustain our business in the long-term. Don't get me wrong - I love our gaming and it’s the "magnet" that immediately attracts guests - but the food and cocktails are what surprise them and keep them coming back.
I wake up every day thinking about our culinary program and how we can make it better. When you create craveable culinary experiences, people remember. It also helps to have an authentic, energized environment. We're trying to be the multi-vitamin in your daily dining and entertainment experience.
In a world where we’re hearing about more people reverting to take-out and delivery, we're delivering experiences.
