What Do You Choose to Read?

There's a lot of should-ing on people out there. This article is about creating resources for salespeople in tech (or hoping to get into) sales roles. My goal is to demonstrate and have value ready for anyone it benefits and stop telling people what they should do.

Everyone has their opinion and wants you to hear about it. It can be disheartening if you scroll through LinkedIn (where intelligent and accomplished professionals would like you to know how smart and accomplished they are) and find post after post of unsolicited advice.

  • If you're an SDR, you SHOULD do this.
  • If you're in a closing role, you SHOULD do that.
  • If you're a terrible human, there are a million things you SHOULD do to be better. And so forth.

And so on. It's a ton of noise and not all that helpful, even though a lot of it comes from great resources. Things fall back into the noise too easily.

So I am turning it around and asking myself: Based on my mission, what should I do to create the most value for the people who want it, instead of just telling telling telling.

If I can be a resource speaking directly to the individual most in need of my expertise, that should cut through the noise instead of persuading people to listen to what I have to say.

Here's a weekly pulse of job opportunities and insights into the hiring marketplace, specifically for tech sales jobs. Of course, I won't be telling you what you should or shouldn't do.

I will also try to provide as many resources as possible. The hiring landscape changes daily, and my mission is to help bring positive change to those ready for it but maybe lack a guide.

  • Listings of open roles. Because yeah, I want to be the help someone needs when they seek that perfect next job.
  • Insight on the hiring landscape. Articles or reports to help job seekers make the most informed decision for themselves.
  • Tips, tricks, downloads, etc. Helpful content to assist where wanted.

Below are some articles I have already written. I hope that they continue to provide value.

You are a wonderful human being and don't need anyone to tell you what you should and shouldn't do. Unless you ask. :)
