What to do while waiting

It was with great joy and years in England when an English premier league team won the trophy with several games remaining.

There are several lessons I have reflected on in this win. 

1.) The club has been consistent whether they won or not over a period of 30 years. They have played, changed coaches, players and never stopped playing.

Lesson: No matter what, keep moving.

2.) The club was so close to winning last year but lost the win, last minute. We might be very close to winning but sometimes, the win eludes us. Lesson: Stay focused. Refocus, re-energise and keep at it.

3) When the club ended up number 2, they never settled for second place. They brought their A' game, focused, resilient and disciplined with very clear energy and this worked well until life threw in Covid-19 challenge. No one knew how and when the league was to resume. Thing was, they were on the lead but not yet winners.

Lesson: Challenges are part of the game, some bigger than others but its always important to find in us the strength to keep moving.

4) When the games resumed, everyone was struggling to win games after a long break. Lesson: We all have a level playing field but some are always ahead of others.

5) In as much as they were in the lead, Liverpool did not play any game yesterday but it is official that they are the winners of the English premier league 2019/2020. Others played, one lost and with that loss made Liverpool the winner.

Lesson: Other peoples wins might be our wins as well as other people's losses.

6.) Even long waits come to an end. 30years is not a short time. Just to put 30 years in perspective, a kid was born, grew up, went through school, married and might be having a family with kids.

Lesson: Everything comes to an end. Every Problem has an expiry date. Yesterday was the end of a 30years wait.
