?But what should you do if you’re on the other side?
If you’re on the other side of the elevator door, and you know that there is someone stuck inside, do not try to force open an entry. It can be harmful, not just to you, but also to the person stuck inside.
?The right thing to do at this point would be to talk to the passenger stuck inside and help them stay calm. Contact the service providers of the elevator company or the security guard on duty. They will send help as soon as possible.
It’s also important for the society members and the secretary to conduct situational drills where these safety points can be demonstrated to the society members.
