What to do When no Roads Lead to Rome?

What to do when no roads lead to Rome?

The treaty of Rome (1957) founded the European Project with subsequent edits/amendments made in the Maastricht Treaty(1992) and the Lisbon Treaty (2009). For all its high ideals has it managed to end poverty?

China has lifted hundreds of millions out of poverty in half the time of the EU being in existence; why are we unable to match that?

The excuse that China does not have rights laws and democratic governance doesn’t quite wash because we the west have bought the products that they’ve readily produced for our consumption.

Is this an abject failure that cannot be hidden because it is there for all to see?

What happened to “where there is a will there is a way”?

There are some that would argue that the EU has hamstrung smaller nations into debt to GDP ratios that will hamper any chance of real prosperity for hundreds of millions of people.

Here in the UK there are people going to food banks, there is a health and social care crisis, yet conversely employment is at a record high; how does it make sense?

Is the reason because of the wealth and income inequality gap between the rich and poor a major issue; is there an analogue approach to a problem that can be resolved by digital solutions?

During this torturous #Brexit debate the strategy of many is to argue about maintaining the status quo without thought of how to resolve the issues of millions.

How do we increase the income and productivity of ordinary households?

How do you facilitate a more prosperous work/home life balance which will increase health/wellbeing and happiness thus improving productivity?

Should we be asking our parliamentarians these questions first and foremost?

#Brexit happened largely because of the issues above, the systemic failure of big business and politics being concerned with the macro economic issues without the perceived due regard for person average, and the distinct lack of solutions being put forth either by the EU (who insist that the status quo is working) when millions of young people across the EU are out of work; in some southern EU nations as much as 50% youth unemployment.

Is that a successful strategy or do the EU need to look at changing tack?
