Amidst all the admiration, appreciation & encouragement for so many amazing voices here on #LinkedIn, how to ensure that you don't loose your own?
Well, it is an exciting time on LinkedIn for- individuals, organisations, entrepreneurs, businesses, employees, employers, freelancers- literally every one as we are all trying to find our voices and use it for the best.
LinkedIn as a platform is becoming an empowering tool in terms of finding your voice but at the same time it can also get overwhelming at times with- so much great information, so many great stories and so many great voices. And sometimes while listening to them, one can't help but question- If I can ever be as good as them? That admiration for other voices might turn into self-doubt leading to question yourself- If I will ever be able to be like them? Self doubt creeps in & confidence is on its way out.
If you've ever experienced this feeling of self-doubt, this what you need to know:
- No point self-doubting due to the feeling of lack of confidence.
- No point procrastinating due to laziness or lack of confidence- Often times the excuse we give to ourselves is that let me be more prepared to be more engaged or I'll do it when the time is right. Well apparently, you will never be 100% prepared and the 'right' time might not ever come. So take this time and what you already know in your stride and get going! And keep learning on the way as you go.
- Confidence is misunderstood as the belief in self (thanks to @Mel Robbins for highlighting it to me just when I needed it the most), confidence is not belief in self because there will be situations when you won't believe in yourself.
- Confidence is the willingness to try.
- "It all starts with ACTION"- Mel Robbins

- To find your voice you need to start using it, in other words you won't find your voice until you use it.
- Learn/share your learning > Find/share your stories > Find/share your voice> Repeat.
- Don't shy away from making mistakes and learning from them, as @String Nguyen says it- have fun f'ing up ;)
- MOST Importantly- don't try to be like someone else's voice, as YOU are unique and so is your voice! Own it, cherish it, nurture it and be your original self. There can be many great voices out there, but there's no one just like you, because only you have it.

- Last but not the least- as cliched as it may sound- don't compare yourself with anyone else, for the same reason as above- there is just ONE person in this whole wide world that is exactly like you, and that is you yourself!
Find your voice, use your voice, own your voice. Cheers!
