What do we do next?

I produce content that creates strategic relationships and drives revenue. I divide my time between Washington DC and Costa Rica.
With any luck you are coming off a holiday weekend spent with the people you love and lots of amazing food. Oddly enough, Costa Rica decided to start celebrating Thanksgiving a couple of years ago, I am not sure why but I guess being thankful isn't the worst way to spend a weekend, even for Ticos. I have been thinking about writing this for weeks but if Im being totally honest, I haven't had it in me to use my voice and I find myself unsure of what to say, first time for everything eh?
As a woman in business I am feeling the effects of the election in many ways, most of them very negative. I feel like completely checking out and most days I have given myself the space to do that but with the holidays coming up its important to get a handle on things and step up to the plate. For me the holidays are typically a time when I buckle down and use the downtime to redesign my website, create new offers, or catch up on content. I use that time when most people aren't asking for meetings to get all of the stuff required to keep my small business successful. As the season is upon us it got me thinking about a few things, so I thought I would share.
Black Friday Stuff
Businesses tend to bend over backwards to create insanely deep discounts on their products to attract new customers which quite frankly, is a slap in the face of existing customers. Ahem, yo Siteground, can I get 80% off my plan too? Having said that, Ill be reaching out to all my clients this week to offer a discount on renewals because without them, we wouldn't have great podcasts to produce. As much as we love new clients, we are even more grateful for our existing ones and we want to reflect in the work we do and how much we charge for it.

It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Podcast Season
Podcasts can take about a month to get off the ground with all the branding and work that needs to be done in advance. Not to mention, the strategy and guest outreach preparation that needs to be done. Its not a super fast process, especially when you do it right. Not to toot our own horn, but that's exactly what we do best at Heartcast Media. We handle all of the branding and meet with you a few times to dial in the podcast goals and how to get there, together. Maybe instead of disassociating from the couch with a drink in your hand you could be getting updates from me about your podcast artwork and game plan for next year. For the record, you can still be on the couch and we will do all the work. You can live vicariously through us as you focus on your family and friends while the HCM elves are building your brand new podcast.
I dont think anyone knows what's going to happen with the economy, but anyone who owns a business has had to work really hard to keep those doors open this year. I don't think next year will be any easier, which is exactly why its a great time to start a branded podcast and get directly in front of the people you want to do business with. It's not rocket science, just good old fashioned strategy and amplification. I will help you fill your pipeline and we will start in Dec, not in January. We all know that nobody is really going to start working again until mid January, as painful as that is, so why not take advantage of this time to get that podcast started and kick things off before everyone gets back off the couch.
New year, new podcast? Why wait, lets set you up for success now so that 2025 can be a little easier for you and your business. I know for a lot of you that is all you can focus on right now, everything else feels like too much. If you are going to put your head in the sand, like me, why not at least do something that can help your business stabilize in the next year. And of course, Ill hook you up with a solid Black Friday discount, Im not a monster after all.
If you are thinking, yeah this sounds pretty good actually but what should I start a podcast about and how does it all work? Don't worry, I got you. Lets get some virtual coffee, Irish or not (no judgement), and talk about it.

2 个月The momentum of the economy in my opinion will continue from the current administration to the new administration. What will be interesting is to see how much the cost of goods will go up. While we might benefit from lesser income taxes l, we will most likely pay the Piper through commerce. Just my thought
