What do we mean by eating right?
Eating right is an essential part of leading a healthy lifestyle. But what does it really mean to eat right? Eating right means ensuring you get the nutrients your body needs from the food you consume. This includes proteins, carbohydrates, fats, vitamins and minerals – essential for good health and well-being.?Yes dear reader, it's not eating greens only, you can eat that pancake.
It also means eating plenty of fruits and vegetables and whole grains such as oats, quinoa or brown rice - packed with fibre that helps keep us full for longer! It’s also important to limit our intake of processed foods high in fat and sugar such as chips or chocolate bars – these should be consumed only in moderation if at all! not because sugar is the beast, but because our bodies need specific amounts of each nutrient, including sugar, glucose (the simple form of sugar recognized and used by the body) is the fuel of energy (Our brain alone requires 2/3 of the necessary daily amount of glucose), therefore it's a component in everything we eat, even those meals that don't seem sweet. The beast is born when we consume more than our body needs, if we consume too much sugar: hello fatigue and weight, if we overeat fat: hello heart disease, if we take too many vitamins: hello hypervitaminosis etc...
