“What do I want my viewers to do next?”

“What do I want my viewers to do next?" is the question you need to ask with every video that you have.

Whether the video is for marketing, sales, professional development, corporate messaging, support, client training, etc., this question needs to be answered.

It's surprising how much is spent on videos and yet how many of them never answer this question.

If a person is watching your video. You have their attention. They are digesting your content. They are interested. They are leaning into the conversation.

Are you just letting the video end? or are you seizing this opportunity and creating a “Call To Action?”

Here is a great video about using compelling CTA's.

The choices you have are almost unlimited for the question "What do I want my viewers to do next?”.

For example:

  • Capture their contact information by presenting with a form to fill out. 
  • Take the viewer on a journey by redirecting them to a case study page. 
  • Find out how much of the content they retained by showing them a quiz or a survey. 
  • Set up a choose your adventure with a self qualification process.
  • Display a button that either requests a demo or adds an item to a shopping kart.

Try it out with an explainer video and you will be pleased with the results.
