The "what do I do", is practice gratitude.
I'm going to place my hand on your heart as I say this...there is literally something, every single day to be grateful for during times of uncertainty - and this is not just slapping a happy face onto a pile of shit...that's toxic positivity.
While editing an episode of my podcast, I was told a beautiful story about how a young girl living in poverty looked forward to visiting a lemon tree every day because there was always this incredible, granulated dirt that she could eat, since there was no food in the house - often she looked forward to that dirt because that was how she was surviving.
This is not to say others have it worse, so buck up - everything that you feel is valid, feel your feels AND back to the original point, there is always something to be grateful for.
Today it is in the negative degrees outside for the 4th straight day. I am grateful to have central heat and hot, clean water.
Look for the things to be grateful, turn inward, and give thanks. This is the vibration and the energy that allows you to shine your light and ALLOW for what IS going well, AND you can still let things suck...sit in the suck, but also allow for any glimmer that gives you the strength or will to take the next best step for the day.
It can be that small, that basic, and that necessary to navigate each day as we are meant to feel bogged down and overwhelmed - you get to choose to be that, or to be aware of the constant chaos while finding your own personal peace if even for a moment each day. That is gratitude, that is the way forward, that is what you can do.
Not every day will feel good, allow that too...but as I heard Luvvie Ajayi Jones say recently, someone else's work is awaiting your work (she was referring to books that haven't been written yet) but this really landed with me as I think about my work. If I don't actively work on myself each day and help myself to feel my light, then others can't find me.
As always, more than one thing can be true at once - you can feel like your world is being shattered AND what else is true in that very moment...go back to basics and see what you CAN notice, allow it in.
And on the days when you just can't, then trust that because you shine your light on other days, that the humans beside you have your back when you're needing to reset.

2 周Great advice. I've also found gratitude is the bedrock of living a meaningful life. With that, comes success, not the other way around, for those who think 'I'll be grateful when I'm successful'. That's like, I'll hire a trainer when I've lost weight/buffed'
