What Do I Do With My Hands During A Speech?

What Do I Do With My Hands During A Speech?

We have hands our entire life and never question what to do with them except when people are looking at us. We are born with hands and I have never heard our kids ask us - what do I do with these hands. Yet, as adults we freak out when eyeballs are staring at us and think what do I do with these strange attachments.

Simple answer - Use your hands as much as possible and do nothing to control them. Don't listen to anyone who says you use your hands to much - use them more. Don't buy into the idea that you must use your hands in a mathematical equation equal to your body mass. These people are consultants who can't think of anything else to teach. They have lost it.

When you use your hands in a natural unfiltered way you will breed authenticity and truth. Your raw emotions will be seen by the audience and for this you will be appreciated and applauded.
