What do customers want from their VAR/MSPs?

More and more businesses are adopting a “cloud first” IT strategy. However, if organisations are moving their infrastructure to one the large Cloud Providers, how does a VAR or MSP ‘add value’ to the client or make money from these services?

We are interested to know what products or services are your Enterprise clients asking you to provide? Do you have gaps in your managed services portfolio? What would help to win more cloud business?

Research commissioned by Fujitsu* which surveyed UK Enterprises last year, suggested that the service providers that will benefit most are the “not just service providers, but instead to service integrators. These organisations will be able to call on and leverage an ecosystem of micro?alliances to integrate both their own services and third parties together, delivering differentiated and individual customer business outcomes and becoming integral to their customers’ digital transformation journey”.

The service partners would need to work with others to provide an overall solution to their clients in some particular area that will comprise of different elements from multiple parties.

The Report also suggests that despite the wide spread adoption and success of public cloud, there will still be a balance between hyper-scale cloud and service providers’ own cloud offerings, with 4 out of 5 respondents stated that they need to use a combination of offering from both hyper-scale providers (e.g. Microsoft, Amazon) and local service providers.
