What is D&I?
The greatness of the universe, skies, earths, mountains, oceans, waters, trees, plants, animals, birds, fishes, insects and mankind comes out of a spectacular system and great manifestation of diversity and inclusion.
The human body exemplifies the beauty of diversity and inclusion where every part is different, yet has its unique irreplaceable function. In the human digestive system, for instance, all the different parts work together to complete a very sophisticated process to provide energy for growth and repair.
Civilizations, cultures, and societies are made up of unique physical, moral, and spiritual systems that get stronger when their members perform their diverse roles to achieve sustainable prosperity for every member.?
Every system strives to attain equilibrium that fosters a comfortable ecosystem for its members irrespective of their different roles.?The system of forest is a natural system of incredible biodiversity, a place to witness the food chain in action.?Some of these actions among predators and prey may be perceived by some as disturbing, violent, and intolerable, yet they are essential to the balance of nature. If there were no “animal” predators, there would be a clear disturbance to that balance; a balance that fosters diversity and inclusion yet is bounded by natural boundaries. Within these boundaries, when this balance is disturbed, all known natural forces will spontaneously work together to heal and revert to that balance/equilibrium.?It is well known that the population of rabbits is controlled by their natural predators.
Among the worst unnatural changes and disturbances to equilibrium are man-made.?Man can be a “predator” of lives, nature, civilizations, cultures, societies, industries, values, dreams, and concepts. Among the concepts are diversity and inclusion (D&I)!
These terms have become increasingly popular in the business world for a few years and have been a subject of interest. Only a few argue about it as it is among the modern mandatory programs.
While some people believe in the value of D&I programs, all seen by others is that these programs are doing more harm than good. No one denies the call for making the world and the workplace less racist, homophobic and X-phobic would be a good thing; however, these calls may unintentionally lead to reverse discrimination. Reverse discrimination occurs when individuals who belong to traditionally privileged groups are discriminated against in favor of those who belong to traditionally marginalized groups. For example, if a company has a diversity and inclusion policy that prioritizes hiring women over men, then qualified male candidates may be passed over for jobs in favor of less qualified female candidates simply because of their gender.?This type of discrimination is not only unfair but also counterproductive. It creates resentment among those who feel they have been unfairly treated and can lead to a decrease in morale and productivity.?it can lead to a decrease in the quality of work produced by the organization as less qualified individuals are hired solely based on their demographic characteristics rather than their skills and abilities.?The worst part is that it can create a culture of political correctness where people are afraid to express their true thoughts and opinions for fear of offending someone. This stifles free speech and intellectual debate which is essential for progress and growth.?That can be a very costly task for any company!
An evil mind could potentially use diversity and inclusion as a cover to promote its message of hate and discrimination. They could use inclusive language and symbols to gain the trust of “marginalized” people who value diversity but then twist those values to serve their agenda.?Don’t be surprised if most of the diversity programs have not increased diversity.
Instead of focusing on demographic characteristics such as race or gender, organizations should prioritize hiring based on skills, abilities, and qualifications regardless of an individual's background or identity markers. This approach will ensure fairness while also promoting productivity and growth for everyone within the organization.
The man-made disturbances to nature, although hurts, are just temporary ones.

1 年The thought of diversity and inclusion did not occur to me in that regard I believe skill and attitude is most important in regards to any industry it should not matter if it’s male or female or any other reasons in regards the skill and attitude towards your job is what matters! Showing up on time and keep it moving that is what matters it promotes other team members to do the same !
