What are the disadvantages of not using CRM?

How are you going to know who to follow up if you don’t have CRM - as even at the most basic of levels it will be storing key information like prospects contact details (can also hold buyers, suppliers details), notes of previous conversation and or actions.

With our economy becoming more and more customer-centric, CRM (Customer Relationship Management) has been widely used by almost every business out there.

CRM systems provide a lot of benefits and advantages that help the business manage their customers efficiently and enhance customer experience.

Here are some of the biggest disadvantages of not using CRM in your business:

  1. Limited access to data
  2. Lesser means to assess and improve customer satisfaction
  3. Miss opportunities to upsell and cross-sell
  4. Inefficiently attract and retain customers
  5. Juggling between multiple tools
  6. Spending several man-hours on manual data entry
  7. Accessing Contacts or Deals on the go

By looking at these disadvantages, wouldn’t you say that utilizing CRM is worth it?

Customers are the primary reason why businesses are still running. Look at it this way, if a business has no customers it would mean that they have no sales. No sales means no revenue. They will be out of business in a few years.

This is how important customers are to businesses and why most companies strive to improve their processes in order to enhance customer satisfaction. Utilizing CRM systems is one of them.

CRM is "the glue" which holds the organisation together; more Customer Intelligence (or MI if you prefer) than just sales management. The "go to" single user interface where data is collated from a number of tools to deliver near real time information quickly to key users facilitating decision making based on fact, not gut feeling.
