What a difference a year makes!
CassonX celebrates its one year anniversary this week, and boy what a year it has been. And how quickly it has gone! I’ve certainly had less sleep and definitely a few more grey hairs, but we are starting to see why the market was crying out for specialised Operations and Middle Office focussed recruitment company for the Financial Services sector here in London - especially with the major brands downsizing their focus in our market. This is making us more prominent, which is pleasing to say.
Whilst I have experience of building dynamic teams in other people’s companies, it is far more rewarding seeing that every decision we make can influence our business goals. CassonX has been set up to do good, honest, “no frills” recruitment, and avoid the tarnished reputation that the recruitment market may have for being slapdash, impersonal and just after a quick buck. We are spending time on the quality of our work as opposed to doing as much work as possible. Our philosophy is simple, if we are too busy to cope, then we will not sacrifice our quality to provide the aforementioned “slapdash value add” that others may adopt, thus each client and candidate will be given special treatment. We will just hire more people who will want to become a part of the elite CassonX family. Hopefully you find that as refreshing as we do…
Growing a business from scratch hasn’t been easy and please don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. It takes up a lot of your time and energy (which seems obvious) but trust in your own drive, ability and surround yourself with the right people you will succeed. Always be learning and willing to try new things, as well as repeating those that are successful.
Keeping it that simple and sticking to the above philosophy has given us the ability to break even within the first 7 months of trading, which is something that not only we are very proud of as it proves if you want to succeed within your business all you have to do is just back up what you say. Celebrate the small wins regularly and always stay close to generating monies. With this hard work and dedication it has given us the foundation to be able to hire an additional member of staff organically, we have another experienced recruiter on their way to joining the CassonX family, and moved into our new premises in the heart of the city, which even includes gym membership so we can stay fit and always be on our A-game.
Remind yourself of your goals daily and always make sure you have them in front of you at all times when starting, and keep in mind why you are building your company. Create specialism, be different and creative, and stick to your guns and allow the you! To be the winning factor in “your business” do not be bogged down by what “others” are doing. It isn’t what your business requires and will not create revenues.
Because we don’t treat our clients or candidates as just a money sign or a number, and will be completely transparent with both explaining where we can help and assist or if we cannot at that point. CassonX are attracting lots of clients and candidates who want to partner with our enthusiasm, honesty, ability / need to deliver, and work hard for our sector. We will put CassonX on the map and so far it has been an outstanding start. We have already placed 30 candidates in new roles, and helped multiple companies to achieve their permanent and contract hiring strategies. We will walk all candidates through the process to make sure they feel confident and be successful through the interview process, We will also do the same for our clients, as attracting talent is hard and time consuming, so when recruiting you shouldn’t have to worry, which is why we will always talk about taking ownership of the process for you so that we can be the specialist for our fee, and to make sure they can carry on with their day-to-day work.
I’m very proud of creating an adult, fun and entrepreneurial boutique firm, and hopefully this will resonate through with the enthusiasm we pride ourselves on.
