What A Difference A Year Makes!

16th Feb 2020, Remember Storm Dennis? Cancelled flights! Windy as Hell! But it was Euroshop time and the show must go on!

Stuff it I said, I will drive it, Got the car ferry across the English Channel (Yep up & down, up & down…) Somehow managed to get speeding tickets in France, Belgium the Netherlands and even Germany! (The wife will not see this!) But arrived safely and had an amazing week.

At that time, I had a full order book with a healthy pipeline, receiving repeat orders from great customers, new clients coming on board, and 2020 was looking to be a great year…….

A couple of weeks later…………well, we all know what happened next, shops forced to close, projects put on hold, and uncertainty and worry for many of us without any clear end.

For me, I became an expert in hand sanitiser, plastic screens, floor stickers, and even electronic body temperature monitors. It was strange times, driving around central London was like being in a ghost town (can you believe I had to slow down for the speed camera on Park Lane!)

Imported two forty-foot HQ containers of 5mm Clear Acrylic (Should have made it Ten!)

I drove a truck to Baku Azerbaijan and a van to Konya Turkey that was both interesting and very hard work.

Marketed and sold a garage full of unique Carbon Fibre ‘skateboards’ I had in stock!

Collected and delivered cars, vans, and small trucks throughout the UK.

Helped a European group start a new venture in the UK with Cognitive Artificial Intelligence Video Technology Solutions that help retailers combat theft at checkout and self-scan bagging areas.

So, some interesting times I have had trying to keep the wolves from the door!

Now, for the next couple of weeks or so, I am pleased to be helping the NHS with trying to encourage guys that have been unfortunate in contracting Covid 19 to donate their Blood Plasma, Yep, helping save lives!

Then what?
