What a difference a "Dave" Makes!

Erica Reyes, head teacher at Warren Wood Primary School in Stockport has declared that today is "Dave’s Day" as a tribute to Whitfield & Brown's Site Manager. To mark the occasion the children have been dressing up as “Dave” in hard hats and High-vis vests and Dave has been taken in to each of the classrooms to be gifted with handmade cards and chocolates. During registration the children had fun with everyone taking the name “Dave” for the day.

The School is being extended following extensive demolition to enhance their facilities to meet local catchment demands. The ￡2.1 million improvements will be complete early 2016.

Erica Reyes says “After about a month of Dave arriving at the school, the staff and myself realised he was special and it prompted us to do something nice to say thank you and acknowledge his hard work. It is also Dave’s birthday tomorrow, so wanted to give him an early birthday surprise.”

In response to the surprise Dave is quoted as saying “The staff and the pupils have been great throughout the construction period and praise should be given to them all for their patience and high spirits. I’m privileged and touched they thought of holding a day in my honour”.
