WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A TREATMENT AND A CURE?

?

When you hear the word treatment what comes to your mind?

Is it spiritual or physical treatment?

When about the word cure, what also comes to your mind?

Is it the cure for AIDS, cancer or any other terminal illness you know?

?

Do you confuse the two for each other or are they both the same? We will dive dip to talk about the difference between treatment and cure.

?

?

What is treatment?

?

Treatment!

That’s a common word we hear whenever we visit our family doctor and he informs us that we have to undergo this “treatment” to get better.?Treatment is a medical procedure given to someone that improves their health or helps them to recover from a injury. There is no definite clue given if that person will be fully restored from the illness but it helps to maintain life and health of the individual.

Treatment constitutes of a wider variety like therapy, surgery medications. This are all medical attentions or procedure’s given to you by a qualified medical personnel to ensure your health improves.

?

For example someone that has Type 1 diabetes is placed on insulin medications for life. These medications are given to improve the health of the individual. Though, there isn’t any cure for Type 1 diabetes as of now but there are measures and treatments that one can take to improve health.

?

So, if your being treated for an illness to improve your health what then is cure?

?

What Is Cure

?

Cure is a complete restoration of a person’s health.?But cure could not have been made possible without treatments. I mean you can be feeling ill one day and the next minute you’re all hay and mighty. That can happen sometimes if you rest or understand what your body feels at that particular time. But other times you just need to see a doctor or take an over the counter medications to get back up on your feet.

?

So, even though there are some cure for disease like bacterial and some viral infections. You would still need to undergo various treatments’ to be rid of the illness. The difference between cure and a treatment depends on what illness is affecting the person’s health.

?

Some illnesses ‘have no cure, and have to be treated and managed while others do and after treatment the person health is ??restored.

?

So, what’s your take on this? Is there really a difference between treatment and cure? And is the illness the only variables that differentiate treatment from cure?
