??WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN STRESS AND ANXIETY???
??WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN STRESS AND ANXIETY???
For years I believed that stress and anxiety were basically the same things but I was wrong!
Stress and anxiety are two terms that are often used interchangeably, but they are not the same thing.
While they can both have negative effects on a person's mental and physical health, they have different causes and symptoms.
Stress is a response to a specific situation or event that is perceived as a threat or challenge.
It is a natural reaction that prepares the body to respond to danger.
Stress can be caused by both positive and negative events, such as starting a new job or experiencing the loss of a loved one.
Some common symptoms of stress include increased heart rate, sweating, muscle tension, and difficulty sleeping.
Anxiety, on the other hand, is a more general feeling of unease or worry that is not necessarily tied to a specific event or situation.
It is often characterized by excessive and persistent worry about everyday situations, even when there is no apparent reason for concern.
Anxiety can be caused by a variety of factors, including genetics, brain chemistry, and life experiences. Some common symptoms of anxiety include restlessness, irritability, difficulty concentrating, and fatigue.
You learn something new every day.
I hope this helps.
Cheers
