Introduction
In today's rapidly evolving business landscape, innovation is no longer just a desirable trait; it's a necessity for survival and growth. 6 个月Good stuff. Good distinctions. And more than ever we need to explore a both and strategy. How might we experiment in both spaces at the same time? How might we explore the Incremental while also exploring the Breakthrough? This is the real challenge. And having or adopting a business model which accommodates both is a real challenge. This is a real challenge for 21st century Leadership. Why? The factory model is over. Efficiency is not the way we will build our way forward. Now, it's more about Effectiveness and Impact than anything else. And this requires a shift in the Leadership Paradigm. Paradoxically, this requires that we become more human, both with the people we work with as well as the purpose of whatever enterprise we are part of. Tina Seelig notes in the Inventure Cycle 4 bases. Think of it as a baseball diamond. 1st base? Imagination 2nd base? Creativity 3rd base? Innovation Home plate? Entrepreneurship What base does Innovation inhabit? 3rd base. But notice what comes before it, for 3rd base is not without the prerequisites of 2nd and 1st base. And both 1st base and 2nd base are distinctly human traits and characteristics. Summary? To Innovate & Entrepreneur is Human. To Trust is Divine
