The design of the PVT Solar Panel is the first type in China, with the following key features:

?Solar PV & Solar Thermal in one unit.

? Solar PV efficiency raises up 20%-50%.

? Extend the PV lifetime thanks to the unique internal cooling system.

? Hot water has been produced at 40-70 C degrees.

? Simple structure, less maintenance.

? High wind load strength and High snow load strength.

Here, we want to analyze the effect of temperature on solar panel efficiency.

As we know all Solar panels are tested at 25C?under the Standard Test Condition (STC), if the panel temp raise, the efficiency will go down. Usually, the PV panel is rated to have a temperature coefficient of -0.50% per?degree (C), which means the panel’s output power will decrease by half of a percent for every degree the temperature rises above 25 C.

Depending on our local area Shanghai in China, we get the highest temp of the panel in summer is about 75C.?So the efficiency will go down (75C-25C)*0.5%= 25%.

That means if your 450W Mono panel, its rated wattage is 450W, now in summer, the real wattage is only 450W*(1-25%)=337.5W;

For the above case, if you use our Hybrid PVT panel, you can reduce the PV panel energy lost and keep your panels in perfect working conditions.

This is good innovation. Plz tell me how can the water be rotated under the channels of PV? If we need motor, it will reduce PV energy and then no benefit over normal PV.

It's wonderful to keep the cell temperature at the lowest possible to the standard test temperature 25 deg C. my Q: How to maintain this temperature if you said the temperature of the water will be 40 to 70 deg C? Please revise and provide a reasonable and real efficient impact when using the PVT as the cell temperature shall not be lower than 40 deg at the steady state. Moreover, the cell temperature will be higher if the water consumption stopped and the temperature will be at 70 deg in the cycle which negatively impact the production of PV. Thank you for sharing and looking forward more details and answers. Appreciated Mohamed Selim
