What did you love as a kid?

Aye Yai Yai....... what is going on with the energy right now?

I have had a continual anxious feeling in my stomach for 2 days and I don't think I'm alone in this. There seems to be a strong negativity collectively right now.

Are you feeling it ?

  • Yes - its Mercury Retrograde!
  • Yes - I posted a politically inflamed post last week!
  • Yes - I had tension with my new plumber on his first day doing my new bathroom!
  • Yes - the world and UK has gone to shit in a handbag right now!
  • Yes I accused an AirBNB guest of stealing when I shouldn't have (although she did bloody take the key with her)!

And ........I have to track it all back to me and look inside.

My actions and responses are a direct reflection of my energy.

When you continue to look at the 'perceived' bad stuff it has an impact.

Thats why I haven't watched the news for at least 15 years.

And yet.... I continue to scroll through my Telegram channel (not as much as 2 years ago admittedly) and look at the alternative negative stuff, with the alternative theories as to why they are happening.

I kid myself it's to stay vigilant and aware, to be prepared.

And whilst there is some truth to that, it's no different to the dopamine effect people get from watching News at 10.

When we absorb this stuff and see bad things continually, we can't help that it plays out in different ways in our lives and not usually for the better.

And the same can be said for reality TV shows, or horrifically violent box sets or games to name just a few.

This kind of watching on loop fills our brains with the wrong stuff. It raises our blood pressure and adrenaline.

Our brain doesn't know the difference between actually experiencing something in real life versus watching it on a TV or gaming station, and so we are putting our body through trauma every day.

And then we wonder why we are anxious, depressed, angry, violent, paranoid, unconfident, with the wrong partner, having crappy friendships with people that let you down.... and the list goes on.

My Point Is

What goes in must come out.

So.....if you want to be happier, more positive, attract better relationships and feel more love....you need to feed yourself with more inspiration, creativity, good news, soulful energy exchanges with other people.

And ladies and gents I will be taking some of my own medicine here.

  • No more inflamed political posts that will attract arguments and name calling (not promising to not post alternative stuff that might create polarised debate though).
  • Reduced time looking at whats going on in the world and instead be more creative and nourishing.

For example.......what did you love to do as a kid?

I was always drawing, my favourite was portraits.



I'm the same now with my camera.

And I promised myself a few months ago to start drawing again.........have I?

NO!!

But my intention from now is to spend at least 1 hour per week drawing, instead of finding some more shit to watch on Netflix.

Perhaps you can do the same.

Give yourself 1 hour per week on something you used to love and see what unfolds.

  • Maybe you'll love it just as much and the 1 hour goes to 3.
  • Maybe it will lead to you joining something more structured to keep doing what you love whilst getting to meet like minded people.
  • Maybe you start thinking about a new career as a result.
  • Maybe you realise you hate it now , but its reminded you of something you really would love to spend more time on.

Your possibilities are truly endless.

But not if you keep subscribing to negative news and negative TV.

It's funny how things have already turned around.

I acknowledged this negativity on my post yesterday, and today I've been told my key has been posted and will be with me tomorrow.

And me and the plumber have more of a lightness between us today after a direct conversation this morning, him apologising and then putting my kitchen tap back into the state it was in before he switched the water off (read the post lol).

And my anxious feeling is dissipating.

A few hours, some honesty and letting things go allow the good and better to flow back in.
