What did you learn on your last flight?

Flying provides a unique opportunity for introspection and learning. On my last few flights, I have indulged in professional development.
The most recent book I read was, "13 Things Mentally Strong People Don't Do," by Amy Morin.
The thirteen attributes of mentally strong people are:
- They don't waste time feeling sorry for themselves
- They don't give away their power
- They don't shy away from change
- They don't focus on things they can't control
- They don't worry about please everyone
- They don't fear taking calculated risks
- They don't dwell on the past
- They don't make the same mistakes over and over again
- They don't resent other people's success
- They don't give up after the first failure
- They don't fear alone time
- They don't feel the world owes you anything
- They don't expect immediate results
What a great opportunity to take a personal assessment of which areas I can improve upon and learn from others stories how mastering their mental strength has allowed them to make an impact.
There is something magical that happens when we are in the clouds and have the opportunity to learn new strategies for making our "dreams" a "reality". We arrive at our destination refreshed and ready to actualize what we learned.
What did you learn on your last flight?
Working hard at giving back!
