What did I learnt?
The Entrepreneurship Week that I participated really taught me a lot of things and it really open my eyes and my mind that it is not easy and not hard in becoming an entrepreneur. There are many lessons that I get from that event and I did not simply do it for nothing. Here, I will point out some of the experiences or benefits that I gained from the Entrepreneurship Week.
First of all, I learnt how to start a business either it is big or small business because before this I never enter into a business and I had no idea on how to start it. However, by participating in this week I was guided by my instructor, Madam Fatin Husna on how to start operating a business from the beginning until the end. She taught me and my groupmates how to come out with the idea, how to promote it, how to make the Business Model Canvas which explained almost everything about our business such as cost structure, key partners and key activities.
Besides that, this event taught me how to work together efficiently in a team. As we were divided into group of six members, we learnt how to divide the task to make sure that our business can run smoothly and we will not get any lost. We sat down together and discussed on our planning, promotion, costing and many more. We also managed to arrange a timetable of duty to take care of the booth as we still have to attend our class during that week.
The next lesson that I got is we as an entrepreneur we have to help each other even though from different business or vendors. For example during the Entrepreneurship Week there was one vendor next to us having difficulties in assigning people to take care of their booth. So we volunteered to take care of it until they finished their class or until one of their members came. We also helped to promote other vendors as well when our products already sold out in the evening.
Last but not least, this Entrepreneurship Week is really a good platform for the students to train them in becoming an entrepreneur. We can see that each everyone of us really give full effort and show all of our hidden skills and talents. This event should be conducted again in the next semester and maybe it can be held in a larger scale so that is can attract many more customers from the whole university.
