What did I learn from Engineering?

Is imagination more important than #knowledge ? My dear friends, an #idea is the beginning of everything.

When your ideas fuel ?? inquisitiveness & inspiration ?? #IMAGINATION happens.

Happy Engineers’ Day to You!

#Engineering is beyond maths & science. It’s beyond PCM at 10+2. ?? ??

A scientist discovers that which exists, and an #engineer creates that which never was. I believe that you are an engineer not because you have a piece of paper with grades or percentages on it which says you have the right percentage to be an engineer. You are an engineer because

your passion is about people ?? ?? ?? ?? ,

your passion is about the environment ?? , and

your passion is about bringing these together in the most #sustainable engineering way.

This is how we need to think about ENGINEERING.

So, if there is something you gonna celebrate today - engineers’ day, try and involve engineering in something you have never included before because it would have an incredible impact. Yeah! I have tried and experienced the magic.

I could easily recall the most beautiful chapter of my #collegelife . Because the first of everything impresses us the most. The day is still fresh in my memory. The day started with anxiety & excitement and an encounter with seniors with 'THE' introduction. Like it was my first elevator pitch.?

I chose #MechanicalEngineering inspired by #RHTDM and #3Idiots validated then & the rest is 'THE' story.?

I still remember Section 'A' and the first class was Engineering #Drawing which got me introduced to the best book authored by Shri N D Bhatt. Soon I started realizing that the college was more than classrooms, laboratories, library, and workshop.

The hostel life taught me several priceless learnings like

? how to get out of your comfort zone,

?? how to push yourself beyond your limits,

?? how to eat #incognito sabji disguised with plenty of oil & spice accompanied by yellow water - sometimes you may call daal,

?? how to develop skills to eat anything ?? ???? ????even in times of crisis,

?? the great art of adjustment, and

?? most importantly how to #discover yourself.

?? ??

Wait! to do all the wonders, ?? MAGGI & Kachori were the most primary important sources of energy.??

We were fortunate to carry out our graduation without #WhatsApp , #Instagram , #Snapchat , etc. The only distraction to the ‘would-be Mechanical Engineers’ was the girls next door in CSE, IT, Electronics, & ELPO.

Scratched our heads on SFD & BMD, managed somehow to drive through #entropy , solved derivations in fluid mechanics, figured out an instant center for velocity analysis, and experienced heating – soaking – cooling a lot many times.

Jayam, Arya, and Happy Days were the Oscar Winning moments during the filmy nights. For most of us, Chetan Bhagat – again ‘#Mechanical Engineer’ played the role of “Aristotle” for us.

??2007 ICC World Twenty20 Final match etched our minds and hearts because everyone in the TV hall was going crazy on every ball of Joginder Bhai .

The adventures during #NCC & #NSS Camps taught me leadership lessons. It elevated my confidence to face problems & inculcated decision-making abilities.

Numerous assignments, lengthy practical submissions, mood ??? ???bunks, proxies for/by ??????s, receipt of detention letters, backlog in subjects, unexpected results, several night-outs, breakups to patch ups, and a bunch of ideas to change the world.

“What I learned during my engineering encounter”

ENGINEERING is the Wonder Term.

ENGINEERING is about focus and determination.

ENGINEERING is about asking questions & questions.

ENGINEERING is about expressing yourself.

ENGINEERING is about Self-Confidence.

ENGINEERING requires a mind with exceptional capability.

ENGINEERING is about practical design thinking.

ENGINEERING is about diligence & IMAGINATION.

ENGINEERING is the journey from ‘know-why’ to ‘know-how’.

ENGINEERING is the difference between mind and mindset.

ENGINEERING is all about life EXPERIENCE.

Engineer’s motto must be always ‘Advance to the unfamiliar’.

Of course, there were a bunch of failures and mistakes committed, even embarrassments. It was tough to endure the sting of failure.?But it led to positive outcomes.

Engineering blessed me with an amazing personality having a kind heart. I am glad Monika Bhoyar you are my wife, and sometimes I really wonder what I have done to have you in my life. Thank you for everything you did for me and Kanha.

So guys, do tell me your #btech Engineering experience in the comments and tag your engineering buddy (partner in crimes). I would love to keep sharing interesting stories about engineering life.

Thank you!
