The Year 2020 was too difficult for all of us. Many of our friends might lose their jobs, caught up in health issues, losing their loved ones, and much more. There is a ray of hope that tomorrow will be great and we'll get back to our normal life.
I can't change the direction of the wind, but I can adjust my sails to always reach my destination
- JIMMY DEAN
- Finding the happiness in simple things:
we all have a high expectation from others to perform based on our expectations. we forget to get happiness in small things.
I would suggest, try to offer a half biriyani to the people who are living in the slum area and look at their faces!
2. Be positive even your surrounding is too negative:
This quote itself is understandable.
“Good thoughts and actions can never produce bad results; bad thoughts and actions can never produce good results…We understand this law in the natural world, and work with it; but few understand it in the mental and moral world – although its operation there is just as simple and undeviating – and they, therefore, do not cooperation with it.”
– JAMES ALLEN
3. Difficult time reveals the truth !
This pandemic has taught us the importance of our social bond. Who was there when we had a difficult time? ( Think about it ) It reveals our true friends, closed one and caring one too!
4. Following the passion
After announcing the lockdown in the nation, everyone was at their house. I thought to re-start my writing book which I had been writing for one year. I explored the different platforms on social media where I can create content and LinkedIn was one of them. It helped me to get in touch with lots of people and got amazing mentors.
Follow your own passion—not your parents’, not your teachers’—yours.
—Robert Ballard
5. Making self-care with the highest priority
Looking after your own mental health has to come first. To support your friends and family around you in their time of need, you need to be working from a strong base. Putting yourself as number one in your life, taking space when you need it and saying “no” needs to be the priority.
6. Sometime punching a pillow is an effective anger management tool !
Being a sales guy, My nature is always to be hard and angriness if I could not achieve my goals. but thanks to my pillow which helped me as a tool to control my anger and spreading the love. There is always a room of improvement and that's what I did before joining by b-school !
7. Meditation helps.
We all are human being and working hard. I love to be spend my time with as much as productive work but, this only happened to me when I had introduced "Vipassana meditation'' by friends. Spending 20 or 30 min in the fresh morning gives the high energy to start our work.
8. Providing unnecessary opportunity to not deserving people.
Sometime, you really want to help someone but later on you realize that they did not deserve that opportunity. This picture conveys the best answer.
9. Keep learning new things.
Even though after joining B-school or during the lockdown, I started to explore the technology sectors and did courses for adding my values. Reading self-help books which is useful for growing our personality too. I've portraited here some books which I've read and available the hard copy with me.
10. Keep smiling and never force for anything !
I started realize that, being cool/nice to someone doesn't cost anything ! I tried my best to smile in every situation occurred to me. If someone doesn't understand your point/views then let them go. We should not force anything for ourselves; either people, love, friendship or sometime your friends too !
One of mine friend told me, " Karma is the biggest thing in life, it has no corner and will come back to you. So, do good things and get good thing" !
