Fabric design of the host area
The mainframe area Fabric is responsible for the access of IBM mainframes, and IBM mainframes are usually deployed on both the production network and the test network.
Since the mainframe comes with FW and LB functions, FW and LB are generally not deployed in the mainframe area. A few banks use F5 LB to replace the LB on the mainframe, and are studying to replace the FW on the mainframe to save costs, but the current solution is not fully functional , the program is immature.
The fabric in the host area adopts the DCN2.0 architecture and does not deploy VXLAN SDN. The access mixer of the mainframe and the mainframe run OSPF routing, and the access switches are deployed independently. The topology of the fabric in the host area is shown in the figure.

The host area Fabric is responsible for the access of the host (production, test) system. The specific scheme is as follows.
The fabric structure of the host area is the secondary structure of the access switch-aggregation switch (AS-DS). Each computer room module forms a fabric. To ensure the reliability of the network, two hosts are deployed in each of the two computer rooms. Each host provides 12 GE interfaces to access 2 Server Leafs.
The ASs are independently deployed in MOR mode, and the AS convergence ratio is 9:1. Each AS uses 2*40GE interfaces to connect to 2 DS switches. OSPF dynamic routing runs between the DS and the core switch, and an independent OSPF Area runs between the DS and the host. OSPF 200 runs between the AS and the DS, which is deployed in Area 0.
The host itself runs the OSPF Layer 3 protocol. OSPF 200 is run between the two, and it is connected as a stub area and only publishes OSPF LSDB (LINK State Database) information to the outside world. Independent deployment of production, test network. The feature of this solution is that it adopts a layered distribution architecture, which is connected to the host through routing, which is flexible and reliable.
