What Denim Privé is looking forward to in 2024
We could not be more excited for the new year! Here at Denim Privé we hope everyone is feeling rested and ready for a year of sustainable production, innovative designs, and supportive community efforts. This year will see denim shows, design innovations (special collaborations which we are excited to share), and our 2023 sustainability report.
We asked our lead designer and Denim Privé team what they are most looking forward to this year. Here’s a little taste of what the Denim Privé team is most looking forward to from designer Leanne Jae:
“I am most looking forward to continuing our research and development with other innovators to create better products for our customers. It is important for us at Denim Privé to keep ourselves educated on what is changing our industry towards a more sustainable future. I am personally passionate about keeping this momentum going within design, research, and development from fibre to finishing. It is our responsibility to do so, and 2024 is already looking very exciting with some big collaborations on the horizon. We are also looking to engage more within our community to better communicate the work we do behind closed doors. The first step was our new infographics swing tags at shows, the next step is to be as transparent as possible with learning and sharing our journey towards becoming carbon neutral by 2030. The year ahead is already in work, and we can’t wait to share and see you in it soon!”
The denim industry is hard at work and 2024 is going to be another year where our sustainability values are front and centre. It is an exciting time to be a part of an industry that is working so hard to transition away from harming the planet. Just last month the COP28 climate summit signalled a major shift in the transition away from fossil fuels. Transitioning away from unsustainable energy sources has long been a goal at Denim Privé and we look forward to showing how our solar farm has increased and supported the work we do. The COP28 climate summit proposed the move from fossil fuels to green energy systems to reach the net zero goal by 2050. Denim Privé is on track for 2030 and looks forward to contributing to more global sustainability efforts. Here we go, 2024.
