WHAT DEMOCRATS RUNNING FOR OFFICE SHOULD DO TO WIN

Ok folks. For all you Democrats running for office that have been losing to Republicans, here's a laundry list (no pun intended) of things you need to do to beat the Republicans and to get elected to Congress. Sure it's just my view but I'm a regular guy who is an independent which puts me right in the middle. Maybe you need someone right in the middle to give you some tips.

  1. Do not identify yourself with Nancy Pelosi, Hilary Clinton, Bill Clinton, Chuck Schumer or any other Democrat over 50. If you're asked, your response should be "I'm not them. I'm me with my own values, my own goals, my own way of representing the people who elect me and I will vote to benefit those who elected me, not someone else who wants me to align with their politics".
  2. Talk about everyday costs and how people including your constituents can't pay for them. It's their biggest problem--making ends meet. You can say the following:

"Now I know you folks are having problems paying for everyday expenses. We all know this. Problem is, Congress doesn't know this! And worse yet, they don't care! They sit in their fat rich seats in Washington worrying about who's head of what committee and what does that get you? A big fat nothing, that's what! Now I'm here to fight for you! I'm not fighting for a big fat seat on some useless, committee. I'm fighting for you! And by the way, what have Republicans done to help you with everyday costs? Nothing! They never will. They like rich people. They like giving rich people more money. They like giving rich people tax breaks. They like rich people working for them which means even though they're rich, they give them jobs! They love rich people. Well guess what--you ain't rich! And you better start doing something about it before you got nothing left! All a Republican does is feed and support the rich and famous. Screw em! We don't need rich and famous. We need money to pay for our everyday expenses! Vote for me and I'll do something for you!"

3. Make sure to make it clear you support the 2nd Amendment. If you have to buy a gun to prove it, do so. If you have to join the NRA, do so. But make it clear that you also support background checks for guns. You can get a gun but you can't be a murderer or criminal and get a gun.

4. Do not support abortion. Do not support overturning Roe v. Wade. Just say you won't change the status quo but say that personally, you'd rather find a solution to the problem other than abortion if that's possible, such as adoption. Remind everyone that there are so many people who want kids out there who can't have them so maybe we should focus on saving lives rather than losing them. Make it clear that no matter what, you do not support abortion after the first 3 months of a pregnancy unless it's rape, incest or the life of the mother being threatened.

5. Support family values. You know what that means. Do it. And if you can have a family to show off, even better.

6. Talk about cutting taxes for the upper middle class, middle class and poor and raising taxes on the rich. And then go do it. When asked how it will be paid for, tell them the rich will pay for it. They're rich, they can afford it. When someone asks if this is socialism, tell them no, it's just a tax cut.

7. Talk about health care--not Obamacare. Talk about fighting for everyone to get affordable health care and fighting to lower drug costs for everyone. Talk about lowering Medicare costs. Talk about lowering hospital costs for everyone. Then go fight for it. When someone asks how you will pay for it, tell them it will be paid by the billions you are saving by not building a useless wall on the border.

8. Talk about lowering education costs. Talk about requiring free university by State schools for anyone that is not rich. Define "rich" however you want. When someone asks you how you will pay for it, tell them you will fight to get rid of the trade sanctions on China so that we don't have to spend billions paying farmers for subsidies since they can't sell to China any more--tell them that money will be spent on cutting education costs--at home.

9. When someone asks about who you admire, tell them you admire some of the things Trump has done and some of the things Obama did. Both. Tell them every President has something good to contribute to the country.

10. If you're in a Red State or Blue State, tell them none of that matters. They are just colors. People matter, not colors. What people need matters, not colors. What you can do for people matters not colors.

11. When it comes to immigration, tell them you think the wall Trump wants to build is a waste of time and money. Tell them you support immigration control by having more and better trained border security policing the borders. People can dig under a wall. Remind them of that. When it comes to kids, tell them kids should not be separated from their parents but, we should do a better job of policing the borders and preventing illegal immigration.

12. Tell them you are anti-Putin, anti-Communist, anti-Socialist. You believe in America and Democracy. You love this country. You just want to help people pay for everyday expenses without stressing out all the time.

13. Tell them you are tough on crime and believe in the death penalty. Then go vote when you are in Congress and show them you put your money where your mouth is on those issues. Be tough on crime. Say you will punish criminals. Support the police.

14. Tell them there are right wing and left wing violent Americans. You don't like that. You like compromise. You like the middle but you can be tough if you need to be.

15. If your Republican opponent attacks you viciously, fight back viciously and stick to your guns. Do not just take the abuse. Fight back. Be tough. And win.
