Understanding what is Data science and how is it connected to Artificial intelligence and how machine learning… is always a big confusion when we read more rather than understand. Let me explain this with a very simple example
What is Data Science?
Observe the shape of the umbrella which covers the whole body/place. Data science as the shape collects a lot of structured/unstructured data to ensure that, the data is a path for expected outcomes.
Who is a scientist in reality?— A scientist is the one who has an expected outcome framed in mind which is Z and source where he can get inputs A to ensure Z is completed on time. The IN BETWEEN process is an important one. So, Data science is never a technology — Data science is a concept.
What is Artificial intelligence?— Creating an intelligence to a system which is artificial. The stick which holds the umbrella is an artificial system whose main purpose is to automate/predict using the help of the data.
Now can we make a system intelligent? we can make the system intelligent using some instructions. Instructions are part of learning.
So what is Machine learning:?To ensure a system is intelligent — A series of learning procedures to train a machine. Which is as simple as training your kid(Check out one of my examples —?Kidzy way of explaining machine learning)

Considering a screw-in the umbrella which will be at the bottom — which is important and acts as KEY to running an Artificial intelligent system where we can actually justify the purpose of Data science
On a simple note: Machine learning is a subset of Artificial intelligence, Artificial intelligence is a subset of Data Science.
These applications work mostly when there is complex data.
Please do remember that
A tool is needed only when we have huge sets of data. Automation is needed only when we have enough complications.
There is a point where machine learning cannot go beyond its reach. To solve this we have Deep learning and other concepts — I will try to explain this in the next article.
