What Is A Data Logger / Log Tag?

A data logger is an electronic device which automatically monitor and records temperature over time, this allows conditions and a product to be measured, recorded, analysed, validated and reported on. Information which is stored on the data logger is transferred to a computer for analysis by the quality team to decide if the product has been kept within the correct temperature and condition.

The temperatures that can be recorded vary depending on the data logger / log tag, PIMM TAGS have the following ranges.

PIMM TAG Low Temp: +40C down to -90C

PIMM TAG: +70C down to -30C

PIMM LogTag: +85 C down to -40C

PIMM AirTag: +85 C down to -40C

How Is A Data Logger Used?

When a product is being shipped the data logger will be registered and the product profile set so the correct temperature thresholds are set. The projected product temperature (PPT) can also start its process of using its algorithm to predict the product temperature. When the product reaches its destination the data logger is connected to computer and the data collected is retrieved.

How Is A Data Logger / Log Tag Started?

To start a data logger or log tag the device must first be registered using the route proposed and the product being monitored. Procuro data loggers and log tags have the additional feature of product profiling and projected product temperature (PPT) for projecting the core temperature of the product.
