Cyber Essentials is an effective, government-backed scheme that protects your organization, regardless of its size, from a range of common cyber attacks. The guidance provided by Cyber Essentials is designed to prevent such attacks.

It represents the UK Government’s baseline standard for cybersecurity for organizations of all sizes. This annually renewable certification aligns with five technical controls to prevent the most common internet-based cyber threats. Cyber Essentials certification includes automatic cyber liability insurance for UK organizations certifying their entire organization with less than ￡20m annual turnover. At the first level, organizations self-assess against five basic security controls, with a qualified assessor verifying the information.

Levels of Certification

There are two levels of certification within the Cyber Essentials scheme:

1. Cyber Essentials
