What crutches are we using for support that we may need to get rid of?

I had a hip replacement about three and a half weeks ago. I’ve been give some rules which are important to follow – I started off on two crutches for two weeks, then one for two weeks, and then probably none. I’ve got a pretty positive mindset and I’m not a huge rule follower to be honest, so I set an intention to get back to feeling well and walking really well quite quickly.

When I first came home I was on some painkillers but at that point, I sat down and my unconscious mind says “I’m not sure about getting up” but I did get up and used my two crutches to get around and actually it was pretty fine and pretty quickly my unconscious mind said “It’s good to go.” I then I went down to one crutch, and (hopefully my physiotherapists aren’t listening to this) I’m probably now on none which is probably two weeks early apart from when I’m on uneven ground.

I thought this was a really good analogy for life and business success. One of the reasons for using the crutches apparently is to get your muscles working and to keep you upright. Moreover, if you have a stumble or fall, at least you’ve got something to keep you upright. And I wanted to ask you, what crutches do you need for yourself?

What crutches do you need in terms of other people?

When you are talking about yourself is that an external or an internal crutch?

How would you know when it’s time to get rid of the crutches?

How do you know when there are crutches that you need that your unconscious mind says “Oh I need some help here”

I was talking to a friend/colleague the other day and she found it a bit difficult to ask for help but as soon as she asked for help, and had that crutch, her business got much easier. She needed a crutch and when she knows what she needs to know from the other people she won’t need it anymore.

So what crutches do you need?

When is it time to get rid of crutches?

If you need any help then just?get in touch?because I’m getting quite experienced with crutches now and that’s really the whole of my business. It’s about mindset for business success, a positive mindset, getting rid of the negatives, just understanding and knowing yourself, and being fully aligned with where you’re going, and how you’re going to get there.

So that’s me, just using what happens to me for another prescription for success and I’ll see you next week and I’ll definitely be on zero crutches.
