What is cross-domain and how to use it on GA4

Imagine you have two websites with different domains, but the content is the same. For example, you might have both .com and .ir domains. Do you need to create two separate Analytics accounts?

Definitely not! Analytics version 4 is amazing. With the steps I'll show you, you can set up two different domains on one Google Analytics account and see their data.

Here are the steps:

  1. Go to your Google Analytics account.
  2. Click on Admin in the left sidebar.
  3. Click on Property Settings in the Property section.
  4. Click on Configuration in the Tracking Code section.
  5. Click on Advanced Settings.
  6. In the Multiple Domains section, enter the two domain names you want to track.
  7. Click Save.

Once you've saved your changes, Analytics will start tracking both domains. You can see the data for each domain in the Audience tab.
