What will CONVID-19 bring to the sports industry?

Organizations have arrived at difficult times, COVID-19 holds sports arena and stadium doors shut when tickets to events and tournaments should be selling out.

 What will CONVID-19 bring to the sports industry?

At first glance, we think that there are no takeaways in this situation. Despite this, we drive to arrive at the conclusion that organizations that will adapt to the situation with digital tools will be the winner in the situation.

 I will be short in my predictions and conclusion to save time and attention.

 Who will have it hard?

●     Organizations ( leagues/clubs)

●     Sponsors (ongoing contracts and long term contract owners)

●     Broadcasting Right owners

●     Athletes that have to receive compensation salaries

●     Fans

As you read in the list, Fans is the last yet most important finance driver for all of the above, big and small events are organized and money is invested to deliver outstanding content to Fans. Every day money is spent to attract fans to come and spend money around sports events.

 But how can sports organizations work when the doors are shut and there are no more events?

Sports Organisation has to start to create ''moments'', which they can organize and control.

What are these ''moments''?

We can start with ''backstage moments''- take a step back and deliver some content that only management of the club has seen, maybe from the locker room in the halftime? It doesn't even have to sports-related- tell fans about your culture, social responsibility in a time of corona or eve show how your players are doing in these times.

Don't let your head down and show fans that you are a brave and strong organization! Tell, show and inform about these moments, generate flow and it will help to increase traffic. It may seem not as important as showing your championship games, but today it's even more important because that way you will not lose what you've been building. Moments will allow you to generate attention and traffic to achieve some value in these times that COVID-19 has brought upon us

How to lead this communication and what tool to select for this operation?

Obviously, your unique sports organization deserves a mobile app- Why?

Because, no other tool will be as fast, efficient and engaging as your app. Social media is not an answer as it's now full of content about other pressing issues!
