What Confidence is Not...
Karen E. Peyton??
“You've always had the power my dear, you just had to learn it for yourself.” ~ The Wizard of Oz ??
Confidence is not a synonym for Arrogance, Apathy, or Ego
Confidence, darling, it's all about self-assurance and inner strength, not strutting around like you're the shit. To be truly confident, you gotta have faith in your own fabulous abilities without thinking you're the hottest thing since Betty White. Confidence is that quiet little voice in your head saying, "Hey, I got this" even while life throws curveballs your way.
But let's not get it twisted, sugar. Confidence is definitely not the same as arrogance. Arrogance is when folks puff themselves up like a peacock and act like they're the center of the universe. It's like they're trying to outshine the sun!
And don't even get me started on fearlessness. Just 'cause someone struts their stuff and acts like they've got nerves of steel doesn't mean they're truly confident deep down. Sometimes, it's all just smoke and mirrors, darlings.
Now, shyness, my dear, that's a whole different story. Introverted or reserved folks can have confidence too, you know. Confidence isn't about being the life of the party; it's about believing in your worth, even if you're more of a wallflower.
As for apathy, well, honey, not caring what people think doesn't automatically mean you're oozing confidence. Sometimes, it's just a sign that you couldn't care less. Confidence is more about valuing yourself and knowing your worth, not just shrugging off the world like it's no big deal.
True confidence, my darlings, it comes from knowing your self-worth without relying on others to tell you how amazing you are. It's like having your own personal cheerleader inside your heart, rooting for you every step of the way.
But beware, sugar, unfounded confidence can lead you down a rocky road. When you're too cocky, you might miss out on some valuable lessons. And darling, excessive confidence? Well, that can be a recipe for disaster, making you as inflexible as a stiff cocktail.
In a nutshell, sweethearts, confidence is not a synonym for arrogance, and it sure ain't the same as not giving a hoot. So strut your stuff with that quiet knowledge that you're fabulous, but remember, a little humility never hurt anyone. Keep slaying, my confident darlings! ??????
