What components are used in Tesla HW3.0?

In 2019, Tesla released the autonomous driving hardware HW3.0. It has been more than five years since then. So what components are used in HW3.0?

First of all, HW3.0 contains a total of four large PCB boards, as shown below. Among them, PCB1 is the intelligent driving control board, PCB2 is the intelligent cockpit control board, and PCB3 is the LTE board communication board. Let’s share the main components of the three PCBs one by one.

01.

Intelligent driving control panel

The main control of the smart driving control panel is designed by Tesla itself and produced by TSMC. The model is UBQ01B0. There are two in total. Each FSD is equipped with 4 Samsung 2GB memories for a total of 8GB. At the same time, each FSD is equipped with a Toshiba 32GB flash memory and a Spansion 64MB NOR flash is used for booting. The detailed components are shown in the table below.

02.

Smart cockpit control panel

The core of PCB2 is an Intel Atom A3950 chip, paired with 4GB of Micron memory and a 64GB eMMC storage chip also provided by Micron. In addition, there are WiFi/Bluetooth modules provided by LG Innotek, etc. The detailed components are shown in the table below.

03.

LTE control board

PCB3 is a communication circuit board, including LTE module, Ethernet control chip, antenna interface, etc., which is equivalent to the T-box used for external wireless communication in traditional cars. The detailed components are as follows.

Hi there! Thank you for sharing this. The tables that list components don't appear to be readable. Would that be something you'd be able to repost or send to me? Also, I'd love higher resolution pictures of PCB2 (both sides?) if those are available. Thanks!
